Bathurst has a rich and enduring history as a home to art and artists, stretching back to our First Nations heritage. Art and Culture play significant roles in our society, providing identity of the community and as a catalyst for social change.
With shrinking government financial support for our cultural institutions, especially art galleries, it is incumbent for our Society to step up and raise funds for one of the oldest and significant regional art galleries in NSW to ensure that Bathurst Regional Art Gallery can continue to bring significant touring exhibitions and produce special programs or projects for our community, as well as conserve existing artworks and acquire examples of significant fine arts for their permanent collection.
