Primavera Gala Dinner and Art Auction
Saturday, 28 August 2027 at BoxGrove Country Retreat, Bathurst, NSW Australia

The Society is pleased to report that we raised the second-highest amount of funds from a single event in the last five years, or even a decade (over $16,000 net), for our Art Gallery. A sterling effort from the community given tight economic times.

This establishes Primavera as our Society’s premier fundraising event in Bathurst’s calendar.

We could not have done this without the generous support from artists who provided artworks and an art experience for the auction, local businesses, and private donors who provided prizes for the raffle.

The total sum of winning bids for the 2026 art auction came to $21,950, from which artists donated $17,360 to the Society for the Gallery. Raffle ticket sales were $2,380.

The Mystery Lucky Door Prize was a limited edition etching out of 20 titled Praying Robot by Reg Mombassa donated by the artist and won by Sue Swan.

Raffle prize winners: El Guapo Cantina Voucher ($75) – Viv Llewellyn; Bird Girl Creations Gift Pack ($165) – Surin Kitithongsopon; Old Milltown Police Station One Night Accommodation for Two: Voucher #1 ($170) - James LIster, Voucher #2 ($170) - Fiona Renshaw, Voucher #3 - Heather Kimbel; Pigments & Palettes Voucher ($200) - James Lister; Bootleg Dining Voucher ($200) - Bacon (Luke Ryan); Bathurst Buy Local Gift Card ($400) - Henry Bialowas; Total Tools Bathurst Makita Heated Jacket ($329) - Ben Fry; Mayfield Garden One Night Glamping Accommodation + Dinner for Two ($500) - Paul Theobald; Total Tools Bathurst Bosch Inspection Camera ($510) + bonus jumper - Nicola Mason; Littlebourne Guest House One Night Accommodation in King Suite ($750) - John Payne.
